What is Cupping? A gentle, effective technique that uses negative pressure or suction, to relieve muscle tightness, break up adhesions, pull healing oxygen and nutrient rich blood into your tissues, move toxins out of your body by opening lymphatic pathways, as well as many other benefits.

When do you use cupping?
Almost any muscular pain can be treated with cupping!
~ Trigger Point Work: Cupping releases tender areas of tension found in the belly and tendons of the muscle. Focused negative pressure is used to release these "knots". (Trigger point work can also be done without the use of cups.)
~ Frozen Shoulder: Gentle suction lifts and separates tissues that have become "stuck". As the cups are slowly moved over the adhesions you can feel your muscles begin to release. Because several muscles are affected when you have a frozen shoulder, multiple sessions are usually necessary in treating this condition.
~ Scar Tissue: Scars both old and new can be smoothed and can often disappear with continued cupping sessions. The pain and decrease in range of motion caused by many scars can be eliminated.
~ TMJ Relief:
Cupping helps to relax and align the jaw. This helps to relieve the head and neck aches that TMJ causes. (TMJ work can also be done without the use of cups.)
~ Face Toning:
There are about 43 muscles in your face. Just like the muscles in your body, your facial muscles can be firm or become flabby! Regular cupping assists in toning and rejuvenating your muscles as well as increasing circulation therefore bringing nutrients to your skin. ~ Sinus Comfort:
A gentle pressure point technique using very small cups quickly helps to relieve sinus headache and pressure. (Treating sinus congestion can also be done without the use of cups.) This treatment does not cure sinus infections or allergies.
Other awesome treatments not using cups:
~ Warm Bamboo: Lengths of smooth bamboo are heated then used for kneading tight muscles and rolling out tension. As the soothing heat penetrates your muscles your body’s autonomic relaxation response sets in, making it easier to access those areas of underlying tension. Your muscles loosen, your joints become more flexible and a sense of well-being washes over you. Warm bamboo for foot pain is very beneficial.
~ NST (NeuroStructural Integration Technique):
NST uses a series of gentle moves at specific points on the body. These moves create an energy flow and vibrations that assist your body to communicate within itself. It is a technique that enables the body to regulate and find its balance.
~ Body Brushing (Dry Brushing):
Besides just feeling good and improving the appearance of your skin, brushing your body with a soft bristled body brush in a gentle, rhythmic manner stimulates your blood circulation and immune system thus helping to eliminate toxins as well as gently exfoliating your skin and encouraging new cell growth.
Swedish Massage: A soft handed massage that is gentle, rhythmic and very relaxing. It combines a variety of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels, enhanced mental clarity, and greater flexibility.
